Pre-Facelift or Facelift?

Which one is better in your opinion?

Also, when was the new iDrive introduced? Was it 2009 or 2010? Does the new iDrive make a difference?

Facelift and CIC iDrive. Yes makes a huge difference IMO if you want a car that feels modern.

2009-2010 for sure. Maybe some 2008?

If you’re in the market, look for a later model m-sport if you can find one. IMO it is the only spec that holds up to today’s standards in terms of looking modern. LCI will come with upgraded headlights, LED tail lights, different interior bits (like door cards). M sport will give you the aero, black headliner, lower suspension etc.

Also, worth finding one loaded with options. These cars were ahead of their time with the tech. Some that I think are must haves: Navigation (CIC iDrive), m sport (for styling) comfort access (keyless and push to start), PDC, heads up display, cold weather pkg.
