I started the car this morning and the wipers and the washers/sprinklers were dead.
It worked OK last night.
I will check the fuses after work today, and I know I have a bad trunk wiring loom that have caused electrical issues in the past, but I patched it up temporarly.
Other than that, any thought? Have this happened to you before?
Update, came home from work to troubleshoot, and everything just worked now.. thats good I guess, but it makes troubleshooting kinda hard.
I will replace the trunk harness regardless and go over those power and ground "hub's/distribution blocks" under the carpet on the driver side. (Where many componets get their ground and power from the same main wires.)
I saw a thread once where these "hubs/distribution blocks" had corroded badly from water getting in and resting on the floor.
Appreciate any input, perhaps this coming and going issue is related to a bad module even.
Thanks guys
My thoughts are that you should carefully operate the Wiper Switch and try to feel if it works differently, ESPECIALLY when the washer/wiper fails. The washer switch is more complicated than it needs to be, and you can have an internal breakage or dirty contact that makes it not work reliably. If it's dirty, then you may not feel it, but you should be able to clean it with Contact Cleaner.
