Any difference in 650i and M6 manual transmissions? (Not smg)

I have the opportunity to get an M6 for a good price but it’s an SMG. I’d like to convert it to manual 6 speed. I can get most of the swap parts locally from a 650i. I used real OEM to look up the transmissions. The 650i/550i uses a GS6-53BZ - THGZ manual and the M6 shows a GS6-53BZ - THGR transmission. I’m guessing maybe the bell housing is different?? I can’t seem to find any answers on the differences.

Bellhousing pattern is different

The manual transmission from the E92 M3 bolts right up to the S85 though

Thanks. I did end up finding that info elsewhere online. I ended up passing on the vehicle because the rod bearings were not "in need of replacement" they were totally shot and knocking haha.
