I'm re-installing the side skirts after a paint job, and I'm not sure whether it's better to put the white clips on the body first and then press the skirt on, or put the clips onto the skirt first and then press the whole assembly into the body?
For the side moldings the latter approach worked, but I'm not convinced the same would apply for the skirts.
Any wisdom would be appreciated!
I prefer to put the clips on the skirt, then press them into the holes. Did you get new green inserts? And the white clips get pretty brittle over time, might be a good plan to replace both.
there are different p/n's for clips door sill trim panel versions
When replacing the door sill trim panel clamps which hold the door sill trim panel/outer kick panel, there are different clamps for the different outer kicks panels, the clamp thickness is different, do NOT mix and buy the correct ones for your trim panel version.

Side skirt first. This isn’t a preference either, you cannot do it the other way.
The side skirt has markings where each clip goes for this exact reason.
Thanks y'all!
