Yesss!
Here's a tip if you're as dumb as i am:
The breakout box needs to be connected to the ECU first!
I've been getting further along with this simulator. I got through all three levels, and fixed the no connection to ECU problem a few times. That problem was the hardest one for me. Can buses are cool though and I had a lot of fun learning about them.
Now it's time to take these skills to the real world. My mechanic said my electric fan wasn't turning on. Time to diagnose it and figure out what the exact problem is!

Forget about the simulator, there is a guy called Evan on youtube, this guy is a genius, he has an youtube channel called Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics, one of the best auto diagnosis/repair on youtube, but he hates German cars, lol.
Made it through all levels (A while ago). Those damn CAN line issues are hard!

Well, I got level 1 in 2674 seconds but most of that time was figuring out how to use the simulator. Customer was charged $166. Hint: use the experiment tab to play with it first. I didn't see that option. Also don't read through this thread b/c spoilers are being dropped. Didn't know how the breakout box worked but in real life I'd be going direct to components anyway.

That's interesting! I gotta try it on my PC, doubt I can do it on my phone, it's too small.
For real use though, what's the best program to use.
I try to use newtis, but I find it complicated to follow. I know a tech who uses prodemand Mitchell with great success. Any recommendations for software for electrical diagnostics?
