So I was looking through the manuals in the car when I purchased it and while it looks like everything is there, there was no "M3" owner's manual, just a "3 series" manual with mention of m3 things.
I stumbled across a "95 m3 owner's manual" on CL and want to verify if they indeed did make one for the '95 model year. I was asking the seller for the part number listed in the book but no luck getting that which leads me to believe it's for a '96+ car.
Anyone know for certain?
Maybe only from 1996 + , I have 2 of them, covers M3 Sedan and M3 Coupe, BMW 01 41 9 790 397 US En, 1997 printed

Kinda related,
I went to BMW USA’s website, clicked the link for the ‘digital manual’ and put in the VIN of my Dakar ‘95 … and it crashed. Not important enough.
You’d think they would cater to older enthusiasts just a tiny bit, but no.
That is because 1995 M3 USA is not a real M3 but slightly modified regular 3 series. Why would BMW have to print a whole new owner manual just for M3 when all of the operational information is the same? Maybe people complained why they didn't get everything "M" with their M3 car in 1995 so BMW decided just to print one for M3 in 1996+ years to satisfy the purists.
Please don't pay attention to such nonsense. The 95 M3 USA spec is every bit an M3 as the euro is. Yes yes we know the engines are different obviously. But the rest of the car is essentially identical with no major differences that make one car an ///M and the other not. In fact there are more differences between the 96+ US M3 and the 96+ "Evo" than the 3.0l models.
The owner's manual is not going to be that different as it relates to operation of equipment and features from the standard E36. But that's the case with the E30 models, E46s and so on.
And yes the US cars do have ///M engines. Can you guess what the euro one's have?
