SG_RESET, what does it do exactly? (somebody recomends it for IHKA for me)

I had coded KOMBI and coded CBS_STAT_04H and other *******04H so micro filter service warning came up, but I am not able to reset it because the date and mileage are all showing dashes.
I cannot reset it - neither from dashboard procedure (it shows OK message instead of RESET !) nor by ISTA (there are others like oil, pads, etc. but micro-filter doesn't appear)

I've read here and there that

1. "After 03/07, they removed microfilter from CBS, and now recommend that it be replaced every oil change"
OK, the car is 2008, that's why I have enabled it in KOMBI module

2. when the mileage are all showing dashes it needs to SG_RESET IHKA module
OK, that makes sense because it could be air conditioning/ventilation module depended


But what does the SG_RESET do exactly?
