    Touring / Tailgate water leak..

The Tailgate is the weak spot on the tourings. I have a leak in the glass hatch - runs out thru the third brake light housing. Anyone have same issue ( I am sure that I am not alone ). I’ll take any suggestions, and post back progress.

Pull the window rubber gasket seal off and inspect it.

I had the exact same issue. I discovered a lot of leaf litter & debris packed in around the hatch gasket. Cleaning all that out allowed the water to drain down and stopped it getting in the car.

Thx - I’ll be poking around in there. You guys mean between the hatch glass, and the hatch frame, right?

No, between the frame and the body. Though checking & cleaning both wouldn't be amiss

No, it’s not an issue there - the water runs out of the third brake light housing. The trim attachment is sketchy, and as we all know, the trim is hard to get, and pricey. Still working on this puzzle. I did the hatch struts, and came across the water leak when washing the back down.

Yes I understand. I had the exact same issue -- water entering the cargo area through the third brake light. Cleaning the debris collected in the seal between the tailgate frame and body aperture stopped it.

Also hatch glass frame could be rusted. Causing water into third brake light.
