How is the catch can working? Since it has a breather to atmosphere, why 3 ports?
Is this your daily? Great cars you have built over the years sir.

Very very cool. I also have a manual (5-speed) 530i that I would like to turbo. What does something like this cost you think if you were to do a bit by yourself?
The catch can seems to be working well. The 3rd hose is baffled and goes to the turbo inlet in hopes to keep some of the vapors from under the hood at low speeds.
Yessir. Drive this car every day! Thank you for the kind words.
Cost is very dependent. I did all the work myself and hand fabricated all needed components. That kind of work could cost a fortune alone if you had to pay someone for it.
For anyone interested, I'm swapping in a 7 speed DCT trans into this car right now.

That's phenomenal POWER Clay! (I don't know where that typo came from that I just replaced with POWER)
So refreshing to see someone going "old school" and doing pump gas plus water/methanol with success. What is your strategy for the water/methanol, single stage, dual stage, progressive? I'm on the E85 bandwagon for my shenanigans car, but I still have some old water/methanol injection components laying around, and I'm thinking of dabbling again with some straight up methanol port injection. I've recently ditched the intercooler with the E85, and in cool fall weather up here in Michigan it's totally happy up to about 20psi. But methanol would definitely open up the shenanigans window a little wider...

I’m an old school guy, what can I say?
If it works, it works. I’ve been making serious power with meth on multiple cars for 15 years and still love it.
My setup is progressive and it works off if injector duty cycle. It also uses pressure and flow sensors to adjust the tune accordingly.
I’ve got a flex fuel sensor in case I ever want to go E85, but there are only 2 gas stations around me that offer it so I have a hard time justifying it. I like daily driving my stuff so it just makes more sense for me to use meth.

Thanks for the info Clay! That Aquamist setup sounds pretty sweet.
I totally get it about the E85 situation in your area. Around me it's actually easy to daily on E85, so that really allows a guy to be lazy with his setup. Are you injecting straight methanol, or a mix with water? Straight methanol seems to offer power gains, but at the cost of flammability. I want to run some straight methanol injection sometime in the future, in lieu of an intercooler, but with E85 probably.
And sorry about that odd typo I had in my post initially. Lol
Love your build , its crazy to have 530 hp on stock m52 rods , good job bro
