2000 528i (E39) Silver/Black
Boston Area.
Asking Price: $6500, but all reasonable offers will be considered.
Please review all the work done as basically every moving part on this car is new.
The Good:
- 5 Speed Manual Transmission
- Sport Premium Package- Black Window/Bumper Trim, Style 5 wheels, Sport Suspension, 3 spoke steering wheel, Xenon lights and rain sensor.
- 9/10 interior with no odors, tears in leather etc. Everything works, no dead LCD pixels.
- Same family since new (my dad is the original owner)
*Car overhauled in 2020 with over $6000 in OEM parts installed.* Highlights are:
> New Dr. VANOS and timing components, guides, chains etc.
> Professionally rebuilt cylinder head with valve job and new valve guide seals
> New front suspension, OEM Sachs sport shocks, Meyle HD Control Arms
> New brakes and brake hoses on all 4, Textar/Zimmerman components.
> New Clutch kit and dual mass flywheel. LUK/Sachs components.
> Rebuilt ABS/DSC Module
> Completely new cooling system, including radiator, WP, TStat Hoses, Brass bleeder screws.
> Every rubber seal/gasket was replaced, absolutely no leaks of any kind. Oil filter housing and power steering reservior are brand new.
> All fasteners and single use bolts were replaced with factory parts and torqued to spec per the Bentley Manual.
I have driven this car around 2000 miles since overhauling it and it runs/drives perfectly.
The car has been in my family since new and was garaged for most of its life. It is basically a single owner car.
The Bad:
- Car was always in the northeast and there is some rust starting.
> Some of the jack points are starting to rust
> There is a rust spot on the passenger side quarter panel
> There is bubbling around two of the license plate bolts on the trunk lid.
Other Minor imperfections that come with a 21 year old car:
- Stone chips on the hood.
- Dings on front and rear bumpers.
- Sunroof works but needs some help to close.
- Headliner is failing at the edges.
- A few nicks and dings in the paint that are expected with a car this age.
- Michelin Pilot Super sport tires are old and should be replaced.
- Windshield is original, this is a plus for some and a negative for others.
- Wheels are straight but clear coat needs to be refinished
- Car was never in an accident, but was hit while parked and the hood was replaced many years ago.
Car comes with 2 keys, original window sticker, books, some random parts/accessories and an additional set of Borbet wheels.
It is roadworthy, smooth quiet on the highway, passes inspection and would make a trip without issue.

Car is mechanically perfect. Reason for selling is because I want to buy an E39 M5.
