E46 323i M54B25 swap

Hi all,

Had a heap of problems with my M52B25 engine that came in the car, am swapping for an M54B25, after inspecting the engines I don't see any major issues with a simple drop in, besides single vs double vanos systems and exhaust valve timing, was just wondering if exhausts would be universal across the chassis and if there was any other major issues I should be looking out for. I purchased the engine with accessories, belt assemblies etc. through a wreckers and was wondering what issues I might run into!

Your 323i should have the dual vanos m52tub25. Most, if not all, will be plug and play with the m54b25.
