Selling my Titanium Silver over black E39 after 4 years of ownership. A reliable daily driver, even if not especially pretty. Automatic transmission, 209,885 miles, still being driven at least weekly. This is the model about which Consumer Reports said, "This version of the 5 Series was the highest scoring vehicle we'd ever tested at that time, and many of our testers remembered it fondly for years after we sold it."
The good: Starts right up, runs and drives great, stops as it should. Heat blows hot, AC blows cold, heated seats. No rips or tears in leather, no excessive wear. Factory stereo and CD changer. In the past 12 months/10,000 miles I have replaced rear control arms, rear brakes, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, sway bar links, and left front window regulator. No dash lights on at this time. Two sets of keys, all books and manuals. Ready to drive anywhere.
The bad: Hood latches and cables are binding. Will need replaced before hood gets stuck. Front brakes are still good, but getting low. Rear diff seals are leaking. Sunroof starting to go, interior sunshade stops two inches short of closed. Roof itself is securely shut, so no water gets in. One license plate light is intermittent. Some pixels out, because E39.
The ugly: Body rust, mostly on left rocker panel and right rear wheel arch. Car got poked in the nose before I bought it. Has a dent there, and a missing kidney grille.
The extra: I will include a second set of wheels and tires, OEM Style 18 wheels wrapped in Michelin X-Ice snow tires. Also a set of new, still in the original packaging replacement kidney grilles.
Terms of sale: Local pick-up only, no shipping. Cash only. Edit. Price reduced to $3,000. Somebody come and get it.

Too many cars here, need this gone. Drastic price reduction. $1600 takes it if you drive it away tomorrow 9/12 or Monday 9/13.
