First time on forum so I apologize if I leave out details. So initially after I plugged in the 027 ecu, the car started right up. Test drove with no issues. After chip and during test drive car stalled at a stop sign about a couple of miles from the house. Car would crank but wouldn’t turn over. I plugged old ecu back and car started right up. After I got home I took out chip from 027. Then plugged it in the car again to test. Like before the car cranked but wouldn’t turn over. Did the crappy cheap eBay chip break the 027 ecu or is there something else? TIA.

what makes you think that chipped 027 would run any better? Keep it stock 021 problem solved. Ebay chip? lol
those ebays chips make a huge difference on an eta. i always did that on every eta i ever owned and it made a huge noticeable difference.
i have never had an 021 ecu so i cannot help on the issue with swapping them but check the legs on the chip to make sure they are lining up properly. my oldest son put a chip in his and we had a heck of a time with it not starting and he had one leg bent and touching another somehow. once i fixed that the car stated up but it must have done something because it wouldn't run on that chip anymore
No e30s again.
