Finally had time to order the E90 drop hats.
Do you guys I need to disassemble the front struts to put these on?

Yes, remove strut from car, use spring compressor to compress spring, remove nut, remove strut mount/guide support, remove support washer, remove E30 upper spring perch/“hat”. Replace E30 “hat” with E90 “drop hat”, add support washer, add Guide Support, add washer, add nut, remove spring compressor from spring. Reinstall Strut in car, check alignment. Lowering typically changes the toe alignment.
