    What is going on when pressure release valve 2 stuck in lower rear of valve body bore and not moving smooth and what clutch pack it keeps under pressure when pressure release valve 2 stuck ?

    MV3 lock up control
    MV5 line pressure control

    so depending if MV2 is stuck cpl/partly in open or closed position your will have problems with 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Rev

    When valve MV2 shift control 2nd gear is on but pressure release valve 2 in lower rear is stuck in bore it will keep pressure in clutch packs A and C and C1 and E. What will happen in this situation a car will continue driving on second gear without shifting to next gear.

    The LR valve body is almost the same as yours in your guide shogun, looking at the photos

    - Unlisted screen in "channel plate" you have (S1)
    - Unlisted screen in "mv1 mv2 body" you dont have, maybe LR specific (S2)
    - Unlisted 3 hole vented ball valve behind "REAR SIDE COVER" of "LOWER FRONT VALVE BODY CASTING" you have too
    - Missing spring 33, you do have, so must be LR specific too
    - Placement of retainer 71 in MV5 body is same for both of us, the problem here is that it is shown incorrectly (for us) in http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Troubl...ch%20Guide.pdf , this is why id recommend to stop referencing and sharing this guide, using https://atsgmembers.com/memarea/bull...s/03/03-32.pdf instead

    Thanks, it is 60 PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE "2" - It supplies reduced pressure to MV5 which controls Modulation Valve - but I got it out and moving again, no parts needed.

    I got hold of the popular nanocom diagnostics tool for LR, and it does infact show a modulation pressure reading in the transmission ecu section, how do you imagine its getting this reading ???

    I have a question for you ! I checked BMW E32 735i 02/1990 wiring diagram properly and found 3 wires connected to transmission TCU but when I checked in car those wires connected to engine ECU. What would you recomend me to do in this case ? To put it same as in wiring diagram ? Here is all details in my wiring diagram I made it for. In diagram on left side ECU 19 with TPS 4 and ECU 52 with TPS 6 and ECU 53 with TPS 5. Thanks in advance !

    Haydent, I think we are talking at cross purposes. I was referring to the part shown in the third image in your post 352 above. MV5 is the TC clutch. The problem with using ATSG terminology and identification is that it does not correspond with BMW's.

    the part in image 3 was not stuck, as far as can tell, no problems with it, just showing it as shogun missed it in guide and unlisted by ATSG, the photo after it is the stuck valve.

    The reason I use ATSG terminology as thats all i have for reference, and is what im referring too in my work and posts.

    Ill have to get back to you on MV5.

    So, going by the few reference documents I have, MV5 is Line pressure control via modulation valve, as stated in #362 and #350

    My apologies, Haydent. I forgot you don't have a BMW. ASTG say this on page 4 of the Tech Guide: 'SPECIAL NOTE:All nomenclatures in this booklet are ATSG interpretations, not Audi's nor ZF'. So it is hardly surprising that confusion can arise. The wiring diagrams for the E32 4HP22 make it clear which valve is used for which task and may be helpful:

    The ball, spring and 3 holed plug that you thought was stuck but wasnt, that i think you called "The part you are describing as a stuck valve is part no. 1043226028. It is certainly present in the Disco TD5 trans which I believe is part 1043010773"

    Do you know what this does ?

    The diagrams show a one way valve but I think that is in the lubrication circuit. I believe this is part of the D clutch circuit. If you have a spare VB, maybe refer to that?

    The program switch does not latch. It is used to provide a momentary connection to ground.

    Do you mean it works same like optic switch ? lightly touch then cluster does it job. Try to click on Attachment on upper left corner it works with me when I click there.

    With 2 program switch from wiring diagram shift lock solenoid put it on a side not in transmission valve body. What does shift lock solenoid doing in car 1991-1992 ? it is shift each gears or just reverse gear ?

    It is like the horn button - when you press it, a connection is made. When you don't, it isnt.

    The shift lock solenoid is there to ensure you have your foot on the brake before you move the shift lever out of park. At the time, Euro cars didn't have it

    Try to open attachment if is works. Do you mean shift solenoid keeps the shift lever in park position before you put foot on the brake ?

    Ok thanks ! What resistance should be between Transmission TCU pin7 which goes to TPS pin 3 ?

    The throttle switch contains a variable resistor. So you would expect a variable voltage output on pin 3. Do you have that? Have you got fault code (5?) in the TCM? How is the wiring disconnected - has someone just cut it?
