Hey all, I've got a pretty big headlight gap on both sides.
Please see the pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/u9lkwXk
I bought the car like this. They got some crappy aftermarket headlights in there.
So, I don't care about the gap itself. I was wondering if it's bad to be driving this car in the rain or something.
If I should get this fixed, any idea what's a cheap route? And yes, I could replace the headlights, but my Xenon headlights cost about $1k each OEM.
Thanks!

Are your fenders a different color than your hood? If I had to guess, someone did some bad repair after an accident, and perhaps used headlights for a different year car. I've seen this happen many times on E46's, which have several different hood/fender/headlight configurations.
No, the gap doesn't matter.

Wow, you completely NAILED IT lol. Yea, this car was in an accident, and they replaced the xenon with crappy aftermarket headlights, probably for a different year like you said. Fender is the same color, but probably a crappy paint job repair. This one is 2012 E82.
Thanks for the info on the gap. That was my biggest worry, if the rain might damage the electrical components or something driving during a storm.
