BMW 2010 F11 520d
Morning All,
I am a DIY mechanic & have been all my days, taught by my old man. I appreciate not everything can or should be done by yourself, which is probably how I ended up here.
Recently I had a few maintenance milestones hit which I actioned, these included... Brake pads front and back & Front discs (rotors), I also had to replace the wear pad sensors front and back. I bought all my parts from a reputable stockist but nothing was genuine OEM.
After the above changes were made I had the following alarms show up. I have tried to clear them with my Autel MK808, however they are persistent. There are many other posts with some similar issues, however they range in age all the way back to 2010, so would liek to refresh the issue if possible.
Lights on the dash board include..
ABS - drive Moderately
Cruise control failure
Park brake only partially available (RPA)
TPMS failure
Alarm codes:
4809C1 - EMF brake cannot be mechanically applied
480A3A - Let front wheel speed circuit open
244800 - DPF: Limited remaining distance of particulate filter available
CD94EE - Speed sensor signal invalid
If there is any guidance on the above I would greatly appreciate it.
You need to check and recheck your work. You may have damaged the left front wheel speed sensor or it may be disconnected. Start there.
Definitely check the left front wheel speed sensor or wiring.
