    Question Brake Cleaner

Does anyone have Subaru's brake cleaner? Who is it made by? I've used their upper engine cleaner and liked it but I can't find anything about their brake cleaner.

Only pic I can find but doesn't show "manufactured by" and they won't deliver I guess bc it's aerosol.

Brake cleaner is brake cleaner. Some stink more than others. The CRC brake cleaner smells less than others, and works well. Try NAPA, Autozone, Advance, Carquest, and O'Reilly and see who will sell you a case for the cheapest price. Full list can be as much as $12 a can, but I buy it wholesale from O'Reilly for $2 a can.

If you want to clean your motor. Simple Green works fine. Watch your follow up spray.

Be careful - normal Simple Green is caustic to aluminum. The purple Heavy Duty stuff is safer.

"upper engine cleaner" is either a fuel or oil additive, not something to wash your engine.
It is a sure thing that Subaru's brake cleaner is exceptional in no other way than to certainly be very expensive.
The O'Reilly cleaner works well and if I buy a case at a time is $2/can like Chris says. Wal Mart's house brand "Super Tech" brake parts cleaner works, smells same(I suspect same product) and the can holds 14 1/2 oz. v. O'Reilly's 14 oz. fill. $1.97 is everyday single can price by me.
