Hi everyone!
I have an 06 E53 X5 with leaky brake lines where they tend to rot under the driver seat ish area.
I don't have time to deal with it, as can be demonstrated by the fact that I've been borrowing my dad's truck for 8 months now while the BMW is up on our car lift in the garage.
Need a shop anywhere around Orlando (or even a little beyond) that won't rake us over the coals to repair the section of brake line in question and do a full brake bleed.
PSI in Oviedo and Bimmer Tech are names I know but have little experience with. But I feel like they're quite pricey places for taking a 15 year old car to...
I'm also annoyed that nobody will give me even a broad ballpark of what this will run me. I don't need a quote. I just need to know that "generally this type of repair costs around x-ish" because if I go through the trouble of bringing the car in and they tell me $4,000, I feel like that could have been avoided by giving me a ballpark ahead of time lol.
I've seen posts online suggesting about $800 for line repair and around $1700 for all new lines to 4 corners. My experience is that anywhere I've ever gone is 50-100% more than what folks on forums seem to pay lol.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks!
