    overboost protection

    what are you guys running for overboost protection?
    was thinking a pressure relieve valve on the intake would solve the problem

    Not many do that but a few have. A friend has several pop off valves. I have never used anything other than a wastegate and controller.

    I'm using the ECU for that.

    how does that work?
    seems to me that a mechanical pressure relief valve would be safer

    for any car running an EBC some form of independent boost limiter should be mandatory

    had a hose pop off and 28 psi followed = broken ring land in #3

    Even the stock ECU has a Load limit, that with a bit of creativity can be used as "overboost-protection".
