I've spent countless hours trying to figure out how to install BMW diagnostic software onto a dedicated laptop with XP and 7 installed. It took me an hour just to figure out how to post this. I'm done. I'll pay someone to install it for me. I live in Houston NW area. Or.....can someone suggest a for pay site that a 5 year old could use......I'll try that. I need my X5 fixed. Thank you.....but.....please don't ask me what I've tried or any problems. I'm spent out. Thanks.
https://www.bimmergeeks.net/downloads. click on standard tools and download the files. They only run on Windows 7/XP so you are good on that.
I lurked for a while and figured out bimmergeeks has a great free source for diagnostic tools. INPA, , NCSDummy, NCSExpert, Tool32, WINKFP.
Follow this video to set the programs up properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJd6wYG0T0I
That should work.
Also if you use INPA its in german so gotta translate but still worked great. Helped me diagnose my issues.
I know this is an old thread, but I am looking for a source for winKFP, I have an e60 and am trying to do some basic module replacing and need a way to code them to the vehicle. I have searched and searched and can't seem to find a download location. Am I looking for the wrong thing or what? Thanks and this is my first post
