So after much debate i decided im going to list my 95 840 for sale. This is not a low mileage museum piece, its a solid drivers car. And that's the problem i just don't drive it with the current stable of cars. Id rather it not just go to waste sitting under a car cover, at least not in my driveway.
It has 202k miles, it lived almost all of its life with the original owner in Dallas Texas. I picked it up from the 2nd owner who had it for a short while until another car caught their sons eye.
The exterior is in good shape for its age and mileage but its been driven and it shows, still quite photogenic though. A friend of mine did a solid detail when i first got it and did a lot to breathe life into it.
It is riding on style 65 staggered wheels with 285s in the rear and 255 up front. The suspension set up is bilstein shocks with eibach springs up front and stock in the rear. I have the rear springs as well but like the rake. Side and rear windows have ceramic tint. It is equipped with a viper alarm system that includes two remotes and has functional autostart.
Mechanically its pretty much stock, only mods in that department are the eisemman mufflers, it sounds amazing. I just replaced the fuel filters and all associated lines. It also has two fresh batteries as our latest cold snap finished the old ones off. At the moment there are a few things to address, depending how long its on the market they might get checked off the list valve cover gasket, and rear diff cover gasket both of which are leaking but nothing catastrophic. Also if the buyer wants it i do have a spare m60 engine i pulled from a running 740, no extra cost.
Interior is in good shape but again not perfect, areas of note are the driver side seat bolster and the a pillars have a screw holding them up (not my doing but it works). I repaired the gm module when i picked it up so no worries there. I also installed an android touch screen headunit, its single din behind the touch screen so no permanent modifications done.
I think i just about covered all the bases. I have no problem answering any questions and will provide any additional pictures or videos requested.
That being said my asking price of 8,500 is somewhat negotiable but im not trying to give it away, if the buyers not out there i can just enjoy a monthly drive from time to time. I will entertain partial trades for a solid 740IL, must have good exterior and interior, mechanical issues are ok as I have an s62 and 6spd to swap in.
The car is located in Prairieville, Louisiana and have no problem with shipping if the buyer arranges it.
Additionally i have a 6spd trans i sourced for the car i can sell for additional cost to the buyer.
