The chirp feature does not work when using the key remote. However, the lights still blink when using the remote. As a result, the alarm doesn't sound when activated.
Now, I'm having an issue whereby when the car is just sitting with the doors locked, the lights keep blinking as if the alarm has activated. Of course, with the siren deactivated, you don't hear any noises as the lights blink but it is very agitating.
I'm open to replacing the module, sensor or whatever controls that feature. My issues also may be with my key remote. I'd appreciate any ideas or input.
Thank you.

I would try a couple of things. First, double lock the car, meaning, hit the lock button twice. This turns off the interior motion detector. If it still happens, unplug the hood sensor. It is often the culprit in these cases. With it unplugged, the circuit is closed so the system will read the good as shut even when you open it.
The hood sensor is a good hint. If that doesn't work, try to unplug the fuses in the trunk. That should be 38 or 39 (I'm not really sure). Better look for yourself, what the table on the battery cover says (only if you don't care about the alarm at all and just want it to shut up).

Need the answer to this too as mine has been known to do this randomly. Not with any consistency at all though.
