Hi There! we got a really fast stop on the highway no sudden warnings before an abrupt stop no hicks the engine just laid off and alot of warning signs came on.A bit scary with wife kids inside but np.We towed it home and did a code scanning the following day.It is a BMW x3 2.0D 2005 (E83) engine.
I am getting the following faulty codes.
4691 supply voltage 3
41BB particulate filter system exhaust backpressure sensor
4011 Exhaust backpressure sensor before particulate filter.
if i crank more then 5 secs i also get
3e90 crankshaft sensor.
It does crank good but it just will not start.
I suspect these are not the issues more like an electrical or dme problem.i did change the blue dme relay and the crankshaft sensor and no improvement there.
I am no mechanic but it feels like something with the gas distribution.
Is anybody familiar with these symptoms? I thought i might swing by and ask here on the forum before i have to sell it standing as is.A shame it is a nice car to drive when it is working
.
Best Regards Robin
