Need some ideas! - knocking noise

My e36 325i manual has a knocking noise in the left rear of the car when you feed it to her from a stop. The knocking is going with the speed of the vehicle until you let off and you can feel it. The left axle nut has also been coming loose which resulted in the hub having play in it until tightened again which I’m assuming is related. The car has a welded diff which I haven’t been used too so not sure if this a characteristic of it or not, has anyone had this problem or can shoot me some ideas of diagnosing this problem.

check drive shaft/CV Joints for play. Welded diffs put more stress on those.
