Rear tension hanger gasket install

I found a nice puddle in the rear carpet of my vert and apparently this gasket is missing the two rubber ends. Of course the one time I park it outside, we have a torrential downpour and this happens....

Anyways, the install seems rather simple for this part: 54318135273

However, what about the ends? Do they just lay flat or do they insert into the top somehow? Anyone have a picture?

I found this picture somewhere and it shows the top tall part of the gasket slides in between the 2 square tabs and then on the bottom part of the gasket there is a small circular hole. That mates up with a corresponding nub sticking out of the gasket forward of this one.

BMW used a glue on top and bottom connections from the factory, I believe. Obviously the section of gasket in the picture has broken away from the main part. Hope this helps.
