is coupe headliner attached with clips or only resting on A-,B- and C-Pillar covers?

    Hi all,

Is the Coupe headliner attached to the roof with clips or something, or is it only resting on the A-,B- and C-pillar covers and the door and window seals?

I've got a creaking noise coming from the area where the right C-Pillar meets the headliner and the right rear side window.

Only happens sometimes and I can't reproduce it. Of course it won't happen when I sit there to find it and have someone else drive. If the headliner is clipped in it could be something that came loose.

If I recall correctly... the front is held up by the sun visor hardware, the A & B pillars, the door seals, the passenger grab handle, and maybe the sunroof trim. I don't think there is anything behind the switch panel, but it would be worth double checking.

The rear of the headliner turns back on itself and slips into a slot. It is also supported by the C pillars and grab handles.

Just above the rear windshield. It can be a pain to get it tucked back in if you dont have a friend holding up the front.

Is it just one slot in the middle or one on each side? Would it be obvious if my headliner isn't in these slots anymore?

IIRC its just one. I suppose you could tell it was out if you can see that rear edge of the headliner from the back window looking in.
From inside the vehicle I dont think you'd notice as long as it was still holding shape.
