iDrive central info display black - everything else works

I realize this post may be somewhat redundant, however my question here is specifically to know if I can buy any display that I find on eBay, so long as it is compatible/built-for e91 chassis? Are there any specific concerns to part numbers, based on vehicle build date, et?

Or, is it safe to say that, so long as its from another e91 for example, then all good as it is just a screen? I will likely grab a new LVDS cable as well since it cant hurt.

Seems as though it should be plug and play, no programming, et. *IF* the culprit is in fact the screen - which, in my case, a PPI revealed some codes that they pulled (dont have exact codes on me atm) indicating it very well may be a new display which is needed to resolve this...and they quoted $2820 for part + install - ROFL, umm, no.

Please let me know if I am missing anything as Im about to purchase a used one from another e91 off eBay. Thank you in advance.
