congrats to a very cool car!
Thanks, It is at low power setting at 15psi at 650whp. I was passing everybody in the advanced group.

how is the shifting when not WOT?
When not WOT it is ok, 1st and 2nd gear could use a little bit of work but I haven't spent much time tuning that portion. When normal driving if I just let off the gas slightly when I shift it is smooth

Thanks, I run a trunk mounted cooler for the Transmission and it has a fan that is controlled by a temp sensor.

What ECU are you running? Reflashed MS41?
It is AEM Series 1 standalone

I did the swap myself and did all the wiring/fabrication needed
No need for an adapter plate, I had to drill out the top mounts on the transmission and build up a weld to tap for the starter mount then it bolts up. My driveshaft is a DSS 1 piece shaft that I had shortened and balanced by a local shop. I had to take measurements after trans was installed
Stock throttle body, throttle blip would be nice but not needed
take off and reverse is fine, no issues.
I spent about 5k but with me doing all the labor probably 30-40hrs

    Thanks

Did you use the n55 DCT? I ask because that's what I did to make a gs6-53bz to work on my s52.
It is off a 135i with a N55 motor so it mounts the same as your GS6-53BZ transmission which is the other transmission I was debating swapping into my car but decided to just do the DCT.

Yeah, this swap has made the GS6-53BZ obsolete IMO. They are about the same cost once you factor the $clutch=$TCU in and also don't rely on future availability of a custom clutch for wear items. DCT is so, so much faster and more consistent. Certainly more hassle though.

It would be great to get a full write-up or Youtube vid of the swap process. Might be something worth doing for a lot of us if we can pick up a DCT transmission.

I've talked to these guys about an 8HP swap (basically equivalent). They know their stuff and can provide you with just about everything you need to complete the swap (including support).

I really miss the forums like they were in the heyday. FB is not the same for depth. The ability to upload a picture is much easier though.

Seeing a SSTDB banner and the UrineMachine posting brings me back to the old days though Cam just needs to pop in after he’s s done surfing.

How did you connect your shift cut?
