Hi guys.. it's been 2 weeks and I still cannot start my freshly rebuilt N55 engine. I have tried many things, but here are quick facts:
Cranks, no start. (Engine rotates).
There IS spark.
All grounds checked.
Fuses and relays checked.
This is the only code I get, nothing else in ISTA, INPA or Diagnostics scanner I have.
CODE: A738 JBE: Power Supply Interrupted
So, I've noticed that the fuel pump DOES NOT prime when the door is opened or when I try to start the car. I also CANNOT lock and unlock the doors via key or the button.
What's interesting is that I can turn on the fuel pump via EKPS module, turns on and pumps just fine, but if I try to activate via DME in INPA, it does not turn on.
What could cause these two issues? Are they related? How can I troubleshoot further?
The fuel pump has a fuel pump module if I’m not mistaken
1. Was the eccentric shaft refitted in then Maximum stroke position? If not then the engine will not start and it will not set a fault.
2. Is the cam timing 100% perfect?
Mark.
