Bilstein shocks and h ant springs

Hello everyone
I have a 2000 528i wagon and want to lower it. Was going to do coil overs but maybe will do bilstein shocks and h and r springs. Witch shocks should I go with and witch springs? Want a lowered ride but not to aggressive. I’m running 18” m parallel staggered wheels on the wagon.

I have the bilstein HD shocks and have found them to be excellent. For your application it sounds like you might want the sport version. I’ve heard good things about Koni but have not driven or ridden in a e39 with them. I have stock springs and did not have the airbag rear suspension.
