Hello all,
I have a X5 E70 4.8is 2010with 155.000Km.
The car was running well but had some coolant leak and also multiple small oil leaks so I decided to do some DIY and took the opportunity to replace lots of parts:
- Valve cover gaskets
- Coolant temperature sensors
- Vacuum hoses
- Water hoses
It's very timing-consuming work but it is doable.
All in place, new coolant, new oil end ready to test it!
At first, the engine cranked but didn't start, the battery was good.
I'm very frustrated about it but still open to some ideas, thank you!

Well that’s a great test and the out come was not great, the head gasket is of course the first place to look how was the car running before all this
Yea I have never had a v8 head gasket failure in all the x5’s I’ve seen over the years
