Turner Shark Inlector?

Is it true that my shark injector won't work on other S52 engines after being used on my 99 Z Coupe?, I wanted to sell it for 1/2 price, but have heard this story?

yes ones it used its lucked to your car only, but you could send it to Turner and they will unlock it for $150 if i remember correctly so it could be used on a different car.
