A money pit, a never ending project, and a viper.
But sure!!
Actually not a bad deal at all, if it’s all legit. The Testarossas are going for that kind of money anyways, these days. The Vipers are always fun to drive, and toss in the 850ci for the win? Thats a smokin deal.

The ad should have read
"Now that I have driven them way past the reliable and viable point and they all need serious money repairs and I have no more $$ to piss away, I would like to sell these as a "group of money pits" Send me money so I can pay off the parking bills as they want to impound them for non payment."

At least he is up front an honest and car looks pretty good. Its a $2500 car though, so it will be a long while before its sold.

There you go Ross. The wife will be happy with the black interior, you will be happy that he did all the work.
He's basically saying that a buyer like you can negotiate.
I have a silver base 540 that I did all the work on, and now don't want, but can't sell, because I spent so much time and money on, my ad would sound the same.
If you were closer, you could get my absolutely rust free 99 528 shell and swap all your parts to it.
Nah, buy one done. Pic of your new 52836799.jpeg

That ad is for my wife's car.
I'm tempted to make a play for your shell but we have TOO MANY cars already, seven, and I am culling down to our one late model and perhaps holding onto a crusty old E34 gifted me by a friend that can serve as a winter beater until I find a suitable newer car to knock around in. It's a tick under 300k and I'd like to get it there before it meets it's maker.
Two of the seven are light projects, mostly re-commissioning of long standing cars. Another is about ready for submission to BAT. I hope for it to be admitted past the velvet ropes of that "curated" auction site.
Once those and the E39s are gone I'll have $$, time, shop space and perhaps if the stars align just so permission from the general for a single seater.
What are your thoughts about price of the wife's car? I'm afraid Philly is probably right. Kills me to sell for that as I certainly would be VERY hard pressed to replace it for that much, or even my my admittedly high ask should I need to.

So….. were you on the crack pipe? That car is in decent shape, good luck with the sale, maybe you find a good buyer that appreciates all the work that you put into the car at or slightly below your asking price. I’m doing the same thing right now with my 2001 Topas blue 330 convertible. I had a girl who lives up the street from my house that wanted the car, wanted to give me a deposit while I was still working on it, car has 85,000 miles on it, asking $9,000. She swore she had the money, I’m glad I told her to hang on to her money, car wasn’t gonna go anywhere until I let her know it was ready. So I gave her a call this morning, and she pulls this I can give you a downpayment, and can I make monthly payments crap. So, no, I’m not an idiot, I have a second buyer lined up, this is the better sale, older couple, they have about 10 cars, but the wife absolutely fell in love with the car when they saw it last week, while I was driving around with the roof down, the car really sold itself, they’re gonna get it for $9,000. At least, I know they will take care of this car, as all their cars get serviced by my buddy Andy. The prices for these E46 convertibles are nuts. If the car was in perfect shape, I’ve seen them going for $14,000 with way higher miles, but mine has dings, scratches, so it’s not perfect.
Rosscoe, stick to your asking price, someone will come along , who appreciates it and makes a proper offer. Good luck!

Doing well, thank you. Pleased to see the Impala in the current category. The Chevelle sounds up my alley too.

I can verify the Chevelle is a fast mofo. Might have to line it up next to the hotrod.
