BMW Driving Issue ( I can feel every pebble)

How's it going guys I have an interesting issue with my F30. recently I upgraded my tires to be a little wider the original size was 225/50r17 and now I have 245/40/17 all brand new tires. Every time I drive the car I can feel my car going over every part of the road like small pebbles, smooth patches, and to be honest every single piece of the road its getting very irritating. I can't tell if it's a bad suspension or because I got new tires that are a little bigger but that wouldn't make sense to me. Can anyone tell me what needs replacing any help would be appreciated as always thanks in advance!

You went to a lower profile tire (50 to 40) so you now have less tire to absorb road imperfections. The benefits of a lower profile tire are that steering is more sharp as there is less tire roll in turns, but the negative is that the ride is usually a bit harsher, which is what I think you are feeling now.

A 245 45 R17 would have been a better fit, for that is only .2 inch small in diameter, while those tires you bought are a full inch smaller, that a bit of sidewall you are missing.

One thing you might try is to lower your tire pressures. I can definitely feel the difference between, say 40 psi and 33.
