Hy,
My car is e39 2000 525d, I had bought it remapped and I don`t know how it was remapped.
I have some problems, with high consumption, injectors are sometimes loud, sometimes quiet like new -not temperature releated or releated of how long I drive it.
Is there a way to upload stock map to ecu and save the exsisting map, so I can upload it back if I find out that this map is good?
I have K+DCAN cable and INPA, ISTA+, winKFP, NCF dummy and expert, BMW coding tool, Tool32,...
I feel comfortable doing it if I get directions...
Thank you
Would update with sp-daten in winKFP remove the remap?

Ok, I have sp daten for my car, I have the tutorial for update, now I need to know if this will remove the remap and if I can save the remap somehow to restore it back later when needed.
If you overwrite your maps with WinKFP, you will lose previous maps. However I've seen how bad some of those tunes can be, so it may be better to get a better tune.
Best case is to use MPPS v16 (or even Galletto 1260 program with your k-dcan) or similar to read the data, and then rewrite the same ZB using WinKFP. Save everything so you don't have to lose data.

Thank you, will try. I have try to read flash with BMWflash.exe, but it doesn`t work...
About the map... I must repleace the MAF sensor first then I will try stock map if no improvement... But my problem is consumption 8.5L/100km on open road if I drive it carefully, injectors are sometimes loud as hell, sometimes quiet as new, it`s not temperature releated or trip distance releated...

Yes, pilot injection for common rail can be adjusted in map, with good knowledge, or no knowledge at all.
Yes, for timing, I mean injection timing. Most often tuners just add degrees of advance (or highlight and add percentage) without any real reason or to the wrong set of maps.
So I think you are on the right track to go to stock, and then compare.

Ok, I have the file. Had read ecu with Galletto 1260...
Can now I update ECU with sp daten and winkfp and still use this file later? or not?
