    Just purchased this vehicle. Front brakes drag when hot. Anyone ever seen this before.

    Had the same problem in a 84 533i. RF caliper would drag when hot, at first I thought it was the transmission clutches or even an inverted sprag clutch... It was the caliper. Just letting it sit for a few a little while and it was back to normal, or a firm tap on the brake pedal while it was moving would usually unlock it. I would try flushing your brake fluid in the system if you don't know when it was last changed, may fix the issue, otherwise a caliper rebuild or replacement. Buy now while prices are still decent and they are available.

    Had the same issue on my 84 533i. It is 100% the brake master cylinder, as thrty8street suggested. It's not a caliper issue.
