Passenger seat back feeding into drivers seat

So I have an 06 750i, and I had a leak where one of the drain lines were clogged around the sun roof on the drivers side. A decent amount of water ended up getting into the car, and some on the seat. There was enough on the floor where I had to wet-vac it out. My drivers seat still worked for a while, until it really started to dry out. Now I have no function at all with the controller buttons on the drivers side. But strangely enough, whenever you adjust the passenger side seat, my drivers seat does the exact movements that the passenger side is doing. Almost as if its back feeding into my drivers seat as well?? I thought that maybe the seat was burnt up, but since im still getting movement in it when I adjust the passenger seat, maybe the controller could be bad? This happened a while ago, so I set my driver seat to the position I wanted, then pulled the fuse out for the drivers seat. This way the passenger could still adjust theirs. Basically I'm just looking for suggestions on where to start with this thing. There is a nice 745i the same year in the junk yard up the street, but if it is the seat thats burned up, the interior color is different unfortunately. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Just removed the seat, inspected all my wires and grounds.. doesn't seem like anything under there was completely submerged.
