2013 X3 rear hatch not opening on key or rear handle but will on button

I've got a 2013 X3 that the rear hatch is not opening on key fob or rear handle but will on the button on the dash and also closes using the button on the hatch.




Anyone know why?

Just guessing. Key fob battery, key fob location, car in park. . .
Sorry that’s all I have.

I would scan the car for faults if the wiring was broken then the remote, the push pad, the button inside would not work and the auto close would not work, unless it’s wired differently than I think it is, normally you would check the wiring harness that goes from the body in to the hatch for broken wires
