So we went in a couple of days ago to the local Covid 19 vaccine clinic, a drive thru. In the wife's 525it, silver in color. So while we're doing the 15 minute waiting period, what pulls in next to us but another E39 touring, silver of course. A 528it, but still. Now I'm enough of a BMW geek to know there are at least 3 different silvers, but not enough to be able to spot, from the drivers seat, just which one. Still, what are the odds? I blew it, I should have bought a lottery ticket! No pics, we weren't supposed to get out.

and decades of owning and driving BMWs
That's too funny. I don't see another wagon around, even if I travel.
We’ve got quite a few wagons running around here. I’m just glad I have a couple of them, I get to see at least two of them everyday! Think I need a third, a fourth.....
I definitely think that I will be chopping one up to turn into a pick up, swipe in an X5 drivetrain, jack it up a little, yeah.... More like Yeeehaw!
Set the controls for the heart of the sun
There is one near me that has been sitting for at least a year now. I left a note once but they never called. It's a 525it auto and a bit rough so I wasn't pressed about it.
Now if it had been a 540iT manual or 528iT manual I would have tracked them down somehow.
I know of a grey one close to me. He takes good care of it and I don't think he drives it in winter.
Used to be a couple of nice e46 tourings running around but haven't seen those in a few years.
Heck I'm lucky to see a couple of M5's a year if that around here .
What's cool is there are maybe six 70-76 BMW 2002 around me and most are owned by younger people.
