Ok, I cleverly removed my rearview mirror and replaced it with a shiny new RearView mirror with Front and Rear Dashcam built in. So Pretty.
But now, My remote Key for the car doesnt work. I believe someone told me that the remote antenna in in the Rear View Mirror.
So, have I just disconnected my Remote Key Antenna. If so, is there a way around this, or do i have to put my old mirror back in to get the keys to work?
Can i connect something to the wires from the mirror to make it work?
Shot of changing the mirror back im stumped?

Nothing in the E36 mirror. Your issue is completely unrelated. Probably something related to you wiring the dash cams up.

I am thinking you are incorrect there Devil Guy. There seems to be a correlation between Mirrors and Radio Key Antennas, I even found somewhere on a USA forum that the keys and key numbers are stored there.
Why BMW like to put things in beyond silly places is beyond me.
Key Operation in the Mirror, Phone Module in the Door, CD Player in the Sun Visor, Fuel Tank in the Antenna. I exagerate to Clarify.

Yep Yep, There is a board inside the rearview mirror that controls the Remote Locking and the Keys and their numbers. So Don;t just rip your mirror out thinking its ok. It's probably not.
