Ladies and Gents,
I have spent WAY too much time on realOEM yet again. It has led to the creation of yet another list. This time for manual swapping an E34 525iA with a ZF 5-speed from either a 91-92 525i or an E36 328/M3. There is also a tab for LWFW options, I am open to opinions about other (non-eBay Chinesium) options. Obviously you dont have to follow this list to the letter, nor would I expect you to, but It has all the part numbers in case you do need them, as well as good pricing for high quality parts.
The good stuff:

This thread exist for me to be able to link drop as well as for all of you guys to point out any mistakes. I'm sure there will be things I got wrong.
Thanks,

Thanks for all your work and compiling, for this and the susp. It's a great resource to upload and share, so it's appreciated. One day I'll have the cash and can do something about it.
E: you guys didn't get 520i over there did you? Been a few m50b20 manuals parting out around here which is way more common than manual trans m50b25s. ( Basically most manuals sold here were m20b25s or m50b20s.)
Seemed a strange setup, looks like a ZF s5-16 5spd (made for a 4cyl I think) and a 4.1 diff ratio, so I passed on them even though it came with drive shaft and clutch box/pedal. If the driveshaft was the right length for a proper 5spd out of a e36 I might buy a 520i set up just for that and the pedal box, clutch pedal, shifter and console pad/gaitor etc and sort the diff out later.

Correct. No 520’s over here. Are you saying the 520’s got a getrag 240?

The 520s I saw here use a ZF s5-16. Not sure if it's a getrag 240 design made by ZF. Google tells me it's an older box used in m10s, and searching brings up big $$$$ and mentions of E9s as a special 5 spd option, not sure if right (yeah I know the bell housing are integral so not compatible but that puts an age to it's design) . Mentions some m20 engines too.
Also for e30s they mention "The Ratios in the S5-16 are 1st: 3.50, 2nd: 2.01, 3rd: 1.34, 4th: 1.00, 5th: 0.82 "
E: Anyway, for some reason that's the box they used on e34 m50b20s. Bit hesitant to do a man conversion with them because i) cost a lot to get it from the other side of the country, ii) might not handle the power if I ever do a b30 stroker build. But if it followed convention and needed the same length driveshaft, same cross member, clutch master etc, it might be worth buying parts of a 520 just for them and the pedal+box+console.
I guess I can cross shop real oem part numbers...
