I've owned it for 15+ yr. Car runs great! I have 3 vehicles now, and none of them are being driven since we all work from home. I love driving it but it's time to sell.
I did most of the work myself and took good care of it and now with family, don't have much time on it.
Passenger side window goes down & then requires some assistance for it to go up.
Windshield wiper doesn't run
Very small radiator leak every few days (but I have had that replaced few yrs ago).
Everything else is well taken care of. I take it on the highway whenever I can.
Need recent maintenance history as well as some pictures to determine condition.
How are the tires, brakes, suspension components, cooling system?
Automatic or manual transmission?
What interior color does it have?
Any accidents in the past?
More information would help put a proper value on it. For now I give it the ol' tree fiddy.
Everything is rather new or recently done, with no issues; hence I only listed out the issues. It's automatic.. no accidents, condition 8 or 9/10.
Pictures definitely needed to determine condition and therefore price. An enthusiast might pay top dollar for an LCI 530i/5.
Top dollar for this car is probably somewhere around $10k. If it's a manual with sport package and an '03 build and a desirable color combination and doesn't have any damaged trim inside and doesn't need any mechanical work.
Bottom dollar for this car is around $2k. If it's an auto without sport package and an 01 or 02 model year in titanium silver with gray interior and has an interior that wears its miles poorly and needs some mechanical work.

Looks very clean. Unfortunately they just aren’t worth what they should be but have hit bottom and are now appreciating in my opinion. Because of the mechanical issues I would say $3500-4500. These last a long time but people will consider it “higher mileage”.

Looks super clean and original. Clearly wears it's miles very gracefully. Good on you for taking nice care of it.
You've got a top notch color combination, sport package, and great options (Sport, Premium, Cold Weather Packages). The mileage, mechanical issues, and automatic transmission are the big impediments to value here. If you address the mechanical stuff and aren't in a rush, I'd ask around $6-7k and see what happens.
The mileage is high, but based on the pictures the car is in exceptional condition. If I were you and I had the space, I consider holding on to it. I agree with brett above that E39 values are on the rise.

Thank you for the replies.
As for addressing those issues, I could address those however just don't wish to work on it anymore due to timing, priorities, other vehicles, space, family obligation, however whenever I do end up driving it, it is for certain no other vehicle's comfort, feel, driving ever comes close to it. I am not desperate for funds nor looking to sell it cheap but reasonable price considering those known issues, which currently doesn't have any hinderance on the performance.
Very nice example, where is the vehicle located?
