1983 BMW e23 Rear Silencer without catalyst REPLACEMENT

Hello my friends !

I need to replace rear silencer ( muffler) part nr. 18 12 1 175 019 BMW e23 735i. And I have 3 options and 1 question.

1.All non-genuine parts doesn't look the same on the pictures-they look like muffler on my last picture. I'm talking about the muffler beggining that's in red circle. Will it fit ?

2. Another option is to put different genuine muffler (nr.3) from right hand drive BMW part nr. 18 30 1 707 045. I don't believe it would fit because it has to be mirrored or totally different ?


3. Last option is to put another genuine muffler (nr.2) that looks different at the end ( look at my red circle thingy above ) part nr. 18 12 1 178 273. Will it fit ?

Did you ever sort this out ? I am trying to find a muffler for my 86 as well. It looks like the 3rd choice would work to me.
