    e36 Euro Lights - City Light and Self Leveling Operatoins

    Getting a set of euro lights and I want to take advantage of both these features.

    For the city lights - how are they supposed to operate in europe from the factory. For example, does it come on when the car starts (DTR?), parking lights only, or when low beams are on? What would be the best way to wire them

    Self Leveling - is pretty self explanatory but does anyone have the P/N for the harness? Does the socket also have a cap part number to seal off if I choose to remove the motor?

    Some (Northern) countries excepted, no EU E36 has DLR's. So no lights come on with ignition on.

    Lightswitch pos 1: City lights
    Lighswitch pos 2: City lights + main beam.

    Front fogs are independent and can be use from lightswitch pos 1.
    There is also parking light function where the city lights on one side can be lit (ignition off, lightswitch off, stalk to indicator pos L/R)

    There is no self leveling on the E36. There are adjustment motors. Without motor you need to install a special part, as otherwise the inner frame will pivot freely. Just a cap will not suffice.

    For the city lights, get a Euro fog light switch and use that with a light duty relay;

    For the headlight leveling, use the fixed ball-end holder, not worth the time, energy, effort for the adjustable version.
