I need to get new tires for my track dedicated e36 325i.
I do sprint races ant time atack.
I'm cross shopping between Nankang AR-1 and Maxiss RC-1
I used AR-1 last season with some success.
I could get a good deal on Maxxis this year.
Any one has first hand experience with both?

Maxxis RC-1 wears like IRON, has lap times similar to NT01s, but do NOT like slip angle. Less grip while braking and gets out of sorts easier on throttle but has better mid corner grip than the NT01 to make up for it.
Not much fun since they dont like to be overdriven but good value considering how they wear.
No experience with the ar-1.
Thanks bimmerboy318,
I had already read this one.

Thanks olemiss540,
That is the kind of info i'M looking foor.
people with first hand experience telling wath they liked or disliked and the reason why.
I have no experience with the Maxxis however I did switch to the AR-1 last season.
They are quick right out of the pits. Wear is comparable to the Nitto, They were quick and consistent right to the end when they corded.
They maintain consistency throughout an extended session. I could heat them up to where they fell off a bit when going for the fastest laps but they came right back after an easy lap or two.Same as the Nittos.
I rate them equal to if not a tick better than the Nitto's. That said I set personal best laps at every track I went to last season.
