Hi,
- My RealOEM.com profile says my e60 rotors are part number #34116763824
- When I looked them up I saw them advertised as “lightweight”, but nothing about the material(s)
- When I look for performance rotors, they always want me to qualify wether my car came with “Full cast” or “Aluminum Hat” from factory, and I don’t know the answer to that question
So...
Are my OEM rotors that came with the car the aluminum option since they are advertised elsewhere as “lightweight”?
I want new rotors but don’t want to go UP in weight. Gonna get drilled/slotted so I think they should be lighter, but no way to tell.
Want some insight... anyone??
Thanks,

My '10 535i w/MSport pkg came with aluminum hat rotors from factory. You should be able to tell if yours are aluminum by visual inspection or with a magnet. I won't change rotors unless there is a braking issue or they are below minimum thickness.
Thanks. I think mine [car] did too but rotors were already replaced by the time I bought it a few years back w/65k on the clock. They appear to be Zimmermann brand by looking.
