The car is in stunning good condition. As good as new.
This for bodywork (doors extra treated against rust), interior and engine. Engine runs perfectly without oil consumption. New turbos on 10/1997. (Alpina warranty)
Power is from a twin-turbocharged 3.5L inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in metallic Macao with silver Alpina graphics over a black and gray interior.
The 3.5-liter inline-six was modified by Alpina with twin Garrett T25 turbochargers, an intercooler, lightweight Mahle pistons, and a revised cylinder head and camshaft. Output was rated at 360 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque when new
The cabin houses power-adjustable Recaro sport seats upholstered in Alpina cloth with blue and green stripes, while the dash, center console, and door panels are accented with burl wood trim. Amenities include central locking, electric windows and mirrors, an onboard computer, automatic dual zone climate control, and a radio-CD . A knob mounted ahead of the shifter was designed to adjust turbo boost from 0.4 to 0.8 bar.
The Alpina plaque affixed below the climate control panel shows this car is production number 0016 out of the 507 total examples produced.
Instrumentation framed by a four-spoke Alpina steering wheel consists of a 320-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Additional readouts below the gauge cluster display boost pressure, oil temperature and pressure, and differential fluid temperature. The digital odometer shows just over 170k kilometers.
The major service was carried out in 2019 (injectors cleaned, all liquids replaced, all filters replaced, distributor replaced, HT cables replaced, valve clearance adjusted, new fuel lines, gaskets for the valve cover replaced, ...).
