WTB: Looking for an 850 - nationwide

Hi all, long time BMW guy - looking to buy an 850 auto or 6MT - year, color, mileage, etc does not really matter - condition and long ownership with maintenance records over low-miles. Not looking for a garage queen - but a nice driver. Budget will depend on the condition, but I'm thinking $12-14K range for an auto, obviously more for a 6MT. I'm in Texas, but ok flying anywhere in US and picking it up for the right car. Let me know what you have. PM or post here.

Thanks. I have contacted the guy from wash. with the white car few days ago, and basically was told to go f..k myself because I was asking questions. Extremely rude and unpleasant person. I can post our text exchange if anyone interested. I would avoid this person by any means.

Arizona car is just too much $$ for an automatic imo, especially with an accident it had. No maintenance records of any kind, I believe the guy is a re-seller. It would probably be a good buy for $14-15k.

How can anyone expect to sell the car with such attitude. No wonder this one has been for sale for a year already!

Yeah, the guy has an attitude problem. I have never seen anyone explode on me (via text, no less) like that for asking simple questions. It was really bizarre.

Honestly, I almost edited that link out because it started looking like a scam. The verbage of the ad started looking suspect. It's probably why he's mad you're asking questions and not just sending money.

Oh I think its legit, as we didn't even started talking money. I was just asking if it was a smoker, and if he has any maintenance records, etc.

saw that ad. It's funny because you can almost tell by how it's written the guy is an a-hole. Like, "hey I'm super busy just buy the car and get a PPI if you have any questions" so no real surprise but interesting to hear.
