I'm thinking about getting my 2009 BMW 3 series ceramic coated sometime in the summer. But, I am wondering if the price these detailers are asking is really worth it. I've read that every imperfection shows up more clearer so every rock chip and dent will show up more. So, if I do plan on getting a ceramic coating I should get the paint touched up and the two dents I have pulled out. So, at the end this whole Ceramic coating job can could cost me like $1,500 ish?
Surprised there is not more info here regarding this subject but here's a link that might help with your decision. Good luck.

Is the car a daily? If so, then I would maybe consider ceramic coating since it will help protect the paint from the weather, bird droppings, etc. Personally, I just polish my cars 1x per year and wax in between. The newer polish / wax products are pretty impressive, especially when compared to the price of traditional ceramic coatings.
You'll read many differing views / opinions about ceramic coating...
I paid $30 for a 16 ounce bottle of Jescar PowerLock synthetic sealant. In my opinion it's the best compromise. A little more expensive than conventional wax but lasts much longer and much cheaper than ceramics. On good paint the stuff lasts 6-12 months and I'll never run out as so little is required.
Hello there guys! Personally I read a lot of positive reviews from different car owners, so I think yes, such coating is good decision. Ceramic coating will provide better protection than waxes and sealants, so that's why it is so popular now.

I also just tried out 303's Graphene Coating. Very easy to apply and the results are great. It's supposed to last a while too (we'll see...)
Thanks for all the good information!
